The Last Hug
"The Last Hug"
IGrandma Sor longed for a hug from Pete, her son who was her hope and heart. But the now-grown Pete felt uncomfortable. He rejected and pushed away her mother's embrace with cold words. Grandma Sor was hurt, but she still reached out, waited, and loved him just as much as ever.
Until one night, Pete was in a car accident and was rushed to the hospital. Grandma Sor ran after his bed in tears. In her final seconds before dying, Pete turned to her son, his voice trembling, "Mom, hold me."
Grandma Sor hugged her son tightly, tears streaming down her cheeks. But that hug was the last embrace she could never get again.
Embrace the one you love today, because we never know when this hug might be the last.
"The embrace we overlook... may become the last embrace... that will never return."
